About Dr. Riemenschneider

Dr. Kelsie Riemenschneider is an expert in medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology. She grew up in Georgia and graduated with highest honors on a full-tuition scholarship from the Georgia Institute of Technology. She earned her Bachelor of Science in biomedical engineering and her minor in Spanish. She conducted years of clinical research and tissue engineering lab research as an Honors Program student.

She then earned her medical doctorate (MD) at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine where she graduated with top honors as an elected member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. She conducted melanoma lab research and skin cancer clinical research with the Vanderbilt-Ingram Cancer Center and completed an internal medicine internship in Nashville. 

Dr. Riemenschneider is proud to have completed dermatology residency locally in Dallas at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, which is regarded as one of the nation’s most elite dermatology programs. This rigorous training consisted of years of high-volume inpatient and outpatient dermatology experience at UT Southwestern, Parkland Memorial Hospital, Children’s Medical Center Dallas, and the VA North Texas Healthcare System.

Dr. Riemenschneider is a board-certified dermatologist and a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology (FAAD). She works hard to help her patients not only through individualized care, but also through advancing the field of dermatology. She has published numerous peer-reviewed studies in national research journals and given dozens of presentations at national and international academy meetings, research conferences, and grand rounds. She is an active member of the American Academy of Dermatology, Texas Medical Association, and Dallas County Medical Society. 

Dr. Riemenschneider founded Arborshade Dermatology after several years of private practice. In addition to her practice, she enjoys working as a Clinical Assistant Professor with the UTSW Dermatology residents and serving veterans through Garland and Fort Worth VA clinics. Dr. Riemenschneider is highly proficient in Spanish. Outside of medicine, she enjoys weight training, running, hiking, practicing yoga, reading for book clubs, working the NYT crossword, and spending quality time with friends.

Having trained with one of the most diverse patient populations in the country, Dr. Riemenschneider is empowered to effectively care for patients of all backgrounds. Each of us has unique factors that influence our skin health, how skin diseases manifest, and how we best care for our skin, from age or ethnicity to environmental exposures and lifestyle preferences. She welcomes all patients to her practice and believes that everyone can benefit from having a board-certified dermatologist by their side.
